Peta's Bio

I am a fellow of the RSA; outdoor swimmer; lover of words & stories, curious about the world and how we connect for the greater good.

I am also proud to be a member of the Consultants for Good network and vice-chair of the fabulous charity inHive.

I work with leaders and aspiring leaders in purpose driven organisations to help them define and effectively communicate their values and work to a range of audiences. My key motivations are curiosity and building meaningful connections that create positive outcomes.

I’m proud to say that for the last 15 years my work has predominantly been in the charity sector, working with small and large organisations across England and Wales as well as charities with an international reach.

My unique experience comes from over 25 years working in a range of environments. I started my working life as a law lecturer before qualifying and practicing as a solicitor. My interest in communication led to my becoming a legal journalist and I built on that with my belief in influencing to create social change when I was appointed as the first chief executive of Law Works (then the Solicitors’ Pro Bono Group).

I have also been head of communications at an international company of 3000 staff delivering public sector contracts, a trustee of various charities and member of government advisory boards on legal services.

My clients describe my style as professional, facilitative, creative and consensual: with an approach based on generating and maintaining strong partnerships to deliver tangible and innovative results.

Whatever I do, I always aim to make a positive difference to the people and organisations I work with. I thrive in environments where people work with integrity and care passionately about what they do, those they work with and their wider impact and see effective communications as core to success. I am passionate about authentic communication.
