Achieving greater success and fulfilment

As a process, coaching provides individuals with a unique opportunity to review their values, skills, where they are as well as where they want to be; to challenge themselves and grow through those challenges and insights to really begin to fulfil their potential.

I work with individuals in various environments, including professional practice, charities and the public sector; in particular helping to build an individual’s strengths and expertise so they are better able to perform in their chosen roles. Clients include Lloyds Bank Foundation, Newcastle University Business School and CIFF

Testimonial

I have found Peta to be a fantastic coach. Peta is a true professional with a warm and friendly manner and still able to ask challenging, probing questions nonetheless. She is able to get to the root of a problem in such a way as to put you at ease and draw out an appropriate course of action. I would have no hesitation in recommending her as a great person to work with.

I thoroughly recommend Peta’s support. She is a calm and empathetic coach with a real commitment to facilitating positive results. I have worked with her in both a professional and personal capacity and appreciate her honesty and openness. She genuinely wants to see those she works with achieve their potential and goes the extra mile to make sure plans are clear and achievable. I hugely value her support and highly recommend Peta to anyone looking for a coach.

Peta has been a huge asset to us as a coach and mentor – and a significant factor in Illuminate’s success over the last 18 challenging months. She balances a professional and empathetic approach with real agility and has a unique depth and breadth of understanding of the sector. We love working with her and couldn’t recommend her more highly.

Method

Coaching is about connecting with people, inspiring them to do their best, and helping them to grow. It’s also about challenging people to come up with the answers they require on their own

Clients are actively challenged throughout the process, but in a constructive way that allows for reflection and growth. Clients are expected to commit to the process, which includes undertaking actions after each session. Coaching sessions can be face to face, virtual or by phone.

Examples of my coaching include:

  • Working with individuals to support them through organisational or role change to ensure effective co-working, communication and ultimate delivery of key targets.
  • Coaching individuals to help them in attaining specific results such as communication skills development. One off coaching is also offered to help with particular objectives, e.g. preparing for a presentation.
  • Coaching to help individuals better understand and then build on their core skills, or to help them build confidence.

“To be nobody but yourself in a world which is doing its best, night and day, to make you everybody else, means to fight the hardest battle which any human being can fight; and never stop fighting”
